I can't believe it has been two months, shame on me for not posting sooner, sorry but life has gotten in the way. I hope that everyone is doing well. I have finally settled in and have creating again, made a bunch of Halloween Cards but now can't find my camera. Oh well I know it is someplace safe, just can't remember where that safe place is. This is a card that I made awhile ago but have not shared. I love this frog stamp and just had to make a bunch of birthday cards with him the day he arrived. I used my copic markers to color him in.

Sorry to be gone so long, well I am here and I am dry. Tropical Storm Fay certainly hung around, it crossed Central Florida from west to east and then the SOB, came back across Central Florida from east to west. I am lucky, had no damage or flooding although there are many that cannot make that claim. I hope to have my stamps and goodies unpacked by Labor Day but with Gustav on the Horizon we will have to see. I love these stickers and since my stamps are still in boxes wanted to create something so out they came. Take care everyone.

It has been so long since I have blogged or visited blogland. Well I have arrived at my new home safe and sound and have done some unpacking. Unfortunately my craft supplies probably won't be unpaced for about another week or two but I do have a couple of cards that I had made to post. This card pretty much says it all Howdy. Happy Birthday Cynthia, hope you are having a wonderful day. I spent the weekend packing and have about 20 boxes packed, know it does not sound like much but it really is. Still have the master bedroom, kitchen and garage to pack and hope to get to them during the week. Christmas in July

Sheetload of Cards has their July issue out and WOW, there are some great ideas for Christmas Cards, so if you haven't started making them (like me) you have no more excuses. Below is the card that I made for the issue, wanted to use the circle as an ornament and hung it from the bow.

For other news, I am moving, yup moving July 23rd....... July 23rd, I have not even started packing or anything as yet. I won't be posting for awhile, will be busy but will be checking out all those wonderful blogs out there. Have a wonderful July, will pop in once in a while with something cause you know that the craft items will be the last thing packed but won't be back full time till August.

Mini Vacation

Well I am off on one of my mini vacations; I am so excited you would not think I was just on vacation last month. My niece and her family and my nephew are coming to Florida for a long weekend. We have rented some rooms at the Marriott on Singer Island and plan to spend the weekend sunning and having fun, though I will be covered up in Sun Block #60 and my niece will be covered in tanning oil. The turtles lay their eggs on the beaches on Singer Island and I am hoping that we will be able to catch a few of them hatching and heading to the water. I don't have any turtle cards but am leaving you with these Palm Trees, I had made these earlier for a friend and never got to post them. Hoping that my Mojo does not disappear after this vacation as it did the last one. Have a wonderful weekend and will catch up with everyone next week.

Allison's challange this week is "Up In The Air". Well when I was working on getting my mojo back last week I had made a bunch of card bases so this went together rather quickly. I stamped this beautiful butterly and accented his wings with my spica pens and added some primas. Thanks for the challenge, this was great fun to put together. Well I found the rest of my Mojo this weekend. I had made a bunch of card bases last weekend and this weekend put stamp and ink to them. I decided to use stamps that I have not used in a while or had yet to use. I love these cute little bees they are so versitle. I had to make a card for someone at work. I did not want to create a typical male card so challenged myself to use these cute little guys and come up with a male card. This card so cries for ribbon but as it was for a guy I did not want to use it and used these cute brads instead. No matter what I do I cannot get them to line up in a straight line. I used my SU piercing template to create the holes but still no luck, but I figure that is the beauty of hand made, the imperfections are what make it special. I have noticed a lot of people using copics to shade their images and played with that this weekend. I have a bunch more cards to share, it was a busy weekend.

I have been tagged by Corie and Judy, I haven’t done one of these tags in quite some time so here it goes. These are two very talented ladies Corie makes such fantastic cards and Judy not only is a papercrafter but also creates such wonderful fabric projects with her sewing maching. I used to sew all my own clothese but then when I started back to college, between school at night and a full time job the sewing went out the window, maybe when I retire I will get back into sewing, but don't think I have enugh years left to catch up to the talented Ms. Judy.

Well the mojo is back, not totally I made a couple of cards this weekend but mostly I made a bunch of card bases, did not feel like stamping just wanted to put sketches and papers together, might regret that later when I pull out the stamps and find out they don't fit but could also get me to think outside the box and try something different.

My niece's stepfather is turning 60 and we are all invited to his surprise party, I love these long legged birds, even though I can't remember the manufacturer, and wanted to see if I could use them on a man's card. I think it came out OK for a man. I paper pieced the bird and also his wing and used some of those wonderful Michael's dew drops. I also stamped the small bird on the inside of the card and paper pieced him also.

I should say Happy Friday, well the stamping and creating bug finally hit me last night and I plan on spending this weekend creating cards. Have lots of Birthdays in July and a 60th that I am going to the end of the month so enough slacking time to get busy. I created this card for someone at work. She loves coffee and cigarettes, I did not want to do a card with cigarettes, being an ex smoker we all know how militant those people are so I went with the coffee theme. I love this MFT set and though it would be a great image for her birthday card, I paper pieced the dress and used my copics to color her and the coffee in and used chalk for the steam and to soften the background and some of my wonderful Michael's dew drops to add a little pizazz. We're Having a Heat Wave

The weather lately has been so crazy, between the storms and how the heat wave, things are a bit out of control. If she had to go to the Post Office to buy extra stamps I would never hear the end of it. I colored one set of boots with my copics and the other with prisma pencils. I take a week off from creating and blogging and just can't seem to get back into the swing of things. Had a busy weekend and did not get a chance to play with my paper and stamps. I have a baby shower at work tomorrow, another one, seems to be a weekly thing around here these days so I HAD to create a baby card. The mother did not want to know if it was a boy or girl so went with green and purple, hope that is OK. I love these cute little stickers and could not resist, no stamping. Today is my friend Kitty's Birthday, we met on a cruise, she had just gotten divorced and was out to see the world and I was working for a cable company that decided to give me a cruise vacation as a bonus, that was so nice of them. Blog Candy Alert

Well I am hitting the road today and heading to Central Florida and the land of no internet for me. I am only working a half day and after lunch running by the house to throw the two cats in the car, they just love car rides, NOT, and then we are off. Hemingway my old man cat got sick in September and has been on medication twice a day since, with his age it is his kidneys so if I go away he has to either come with me or be boarded and that is too expensive so he will be spending a lovely week sunning himself in Central Florida, Tiger he just goes along for the ride. By the time they get use to the place we will be heading home.

I have no internet connection in Central Florida so my visiting other blogs will be sporadic, so please know I have not forgotten you, just can't get to you. Thanks to the new blogger post scheduling I have scheduled a few posts this week. My other nephew's birthday is the 24th so could not forget him and my friend Kitty is the 18th so both their posts are scheduled. Take care and have a wonderful week.

My one year Blogaversary was a couple of weeks ago and it came and went with no Hoopla. Well I have to fix that so here we go, some goodies for everyone. I have visitors from all over the world so want to break this down to two candy give aways, one for those of you in the United

Look at the wonderful goodies that Dottie sent me, her card is so cute she punched tabs and the top of the card slips into the tabs to close, thank you Dottie that was so nice of you. And Heather, well I was admiring some of her wonderful cards and commented on her great images and coloring and she was nice enought to send me one of her wonderful cards and some images. You can't really see it in this picture but this cute little enguin in sitting inside a lovely emobssed gift box with a bow The last is blog candy that I won from Debbie can you believe all these goodies and her daughter made this lovely pin and for me. There was such beautiful creative projects, Debbie made this beautiful clipboard with pins, monogramed cards, small note pad/key chair, tag and frame oh my everything is just so pretty I am very lucky to have received all these wonderful items from these very creative and talented ladies. Friday Sketch Challenge

There is a wonderful new sketch blog out there and this Friday was there first sketch challenge, well I just had to try it, in a card making mode, think it is because I know that in the next couple of days I will be gone for 10 days with no internet and no crafting, but that is OK, I will enjoy the fun of watching my friends making envelopes for the cards I made for them. Think I will make it a little more challenging and wait till after Happy Hour is over before I show them how to do it. Last year we had a box card class, that was lots of laughs. This is a pretty simple card, the paper is from DCWV of course and the stamps, the Sheep are from CHF and this cute little monster with the flower is I believe a Starving Artist stamp, if I am wrong please let me know and I will correct. I have converted all my stamps to cling and I don't know who is who anymore. Hope everyone is having a wonderful week, still on the vacation countdown.

This weeks Cute Card Thursday is to use Gems or Jewles in your card. I am so loving the Michael's faux dew drops and I can use my old alcohol markers to color the bottom of the clear ones. Well another year has gone by and my cutie pie nephew is another year older. OK ladies he is still available, and has all his own teeth. He turns 45 today oh my I am too young to have a nephew this age, although he would not think so. Happy Birthday John. Cowgirl/Cowcat?

I am in a Western mood lately and just had to play with my MFT cowgirl and Cat's Pajamas Cowcat (is that a real word?) anyway back to the important thing the cards. For some reasons these paper just spoke to me of cowgirls and lassos??? Where did that come from? I used paper piecing on the skirt in MFT stamps and my copics and copics for my cat's pajamas cowcat. These are part of a group of cards that I am taking with me on vacation. I have 4 or 5 people that will be picking over the cards so I wanted to make about 50 and am more than halfway there, I threw in a little kicker for them, they have to make their own envelopes so this will be fun. I will be back with more goodies to share. Oh, do you know that my blogaversary came and went and I forgot all about it, shame on me. Will be posting some goodies next week as a blog candy give away so stay tuned.

Birthday Card

It is a busy time for Birthdays I made this card for someone I work with. I needed a Masculine card, not very good at those. Thought a good start would be using "manly" colors, navy blue and biege. I used my SU wheel on the biege paper, it has been a long time since I have used my wheels, forgot how much fun they are. Can't see it too good in the picture but the candles on the cake have glitter on them. I used my creative memory circle cutters and cut out a circle in the center of the card and stamped the cake on a larger circle and placed on the inside of the card. I have been making some cards to take with me on vacation so will be posting those the next couple of days. Only 8 days to vacation.

When I saw this stamp I fell in love with this cute little fellow and his latte and cake, the fact that I picked him up for a bargain didn't hurt either. The stamp is made by Art Impressions and the pattern paper is from CTMH. I finally found the pink faux dew drops from Michaels yesterday and just had to use them. I am heading out for vacation in a couple of weeks and meeting up with friends of mine and this is one of several cards I have made for them. I usually don't like to put embellishment on cards that I make for others since it increases postage for them, but could not wait to use these new dew drops from Michales. The Michaels by me has these on clearance for $2.00, what a deal. Hope everyone had a great weekend.

SheetLoad has been blessed the past few months with guest artists, celebrity sketches, awesome celebration sponsors and lots of new readers; so I thought it only right to give back in some way. In April’s issue "Readers Reach Out" was asking for cards that will be donated to the residents of Franciscan Skemp Healthcare / Arcadia Campus Nursing Home in Arcadia, WI.

Here is the challenge to you:

1 - Choose a current or past issue of SheetLoad of Cards and complete a full "sheetload". This is usually 6-9 cards.

2 - The theme of the cards for the issue is: Fall Colors

3- You can make cards for specific occasions (ie: birthdays, anniversaries) or they may be general, all-occasion cards.

Please do not sign the cards, as the residents will be sending the cards and writting messages/signing them.

4 - Download and fill out the "Share a SheetLoad" form, and send it along with your cards to the address shown below.

***Each month they select three (3) reader cards to showcase in the Card magazine, so make sure to include your name and location on the form.

5 - Mail your cards and envelopes to: Mary Lynn Maloney, Readers Reach Out Coordinator, 5091 Bell Street, Port Townsend, WA 98368

Please make sure to include envelopes for each of the cards you send in.

6 - Please make sure the cards arrive by their deadline. May 12, 2008 SheetLoad would really like to keep giving back, so please email sheetload@comcast.net if you have any suggestions as to what group/facility could be the focus of our next "Share a SheetLoad"

May Issue of SheetLoad

Well it has finally arrived and it is a spectacular. The May issue of Sheetload of Cards is out. This month's sketch was so much fun and we had Stamping Bella as our sponsor so many wonderful images and baubles.

I received this wonderful Staceyfishabella to play with and as soon as I saw her I knew what she would be fishing for "baubles" who wants stinking fish when they are baubles to be had. I colored her in using my Prismacolor pencils and paper pieced her shorts.

The second card I also used my prismacolor pencils and had to use my Copic Sepica pen and give her a great big glittery B on her bag.

The pattern paper is from DCWV spring pack.

Just wanted to pop in and say "Happy Tuesday" they moved my Boston Legal to Wednesday and think that will conflict with my Top Chef, thank God for TIVO, don't know what I did before it. I purposely now wait until a show in on for about 10 minutes before I start to watch, this way I can fast forward through the commercials. OK enough of that to my card.

This adorable bird stamp is from TAC, isn't he the cutest, I used my CTMH ink and gave him a go and paired him with some of that wonderful Michael $ ribbon. Sorry for the dark photo was getting towards the end of the day when I took it.

Beate's Sketch Challenge

Beate has such great sketches and I had an opportunity to play with her latest this weekend. I pulled out a couple of images that I had previously colored in with my copics. I was lucky enough to have received these images from those wonderful bloggers out there in blogland. The dinosaur card is perfect for a little boy and I kept it simple. I love kids but the little ones just don't understand the work that goes into them as they tear through them so I try to go the simple and quick route when making cards for little kids. This week's Cute Card Thursday is all about the "girl". I love these TAC girls, they make such great cards for teenagers and pre teen girls. I paper pieced her top on one card and her pants on the other and used my copic markers to color her in. the paper DCWV, what else, I do need to use my other papers but I am just a paper hoarder at heart.

Suggestive Sunday

Allison's Suggestive Sunday this week is water. I love these Hannah stamps, I think I am into the rain thing as I have the cute little C.C. Designs Bitsy Bug with the umbrella, MFT and Hannah stamps so what better suggestion could Allison have, so here is my entry. In staying with my goal of once you have the paper out, make more than one card, I made two for this challenge. I paper pieced the raincoat, don't know if you can see the pattern on the paper, it is very subtle, and used my copics to color in the rest.

Allison's Suggestive Sunday

Allison's Suggestion this Sunday was to use up them scraps. Well I have lots of scraps, in every color. I have a few birthday cards that I need to get busy with but also need some graduation cards and once I saw this paper knew the start brought graduation to mind. The stars are cuttlebug dies, I used my black micro pen to go around the edges. The sentiment stamps are Lizzie Anne sketched sentiments.

I love Ila's work her coloring is brillant and her creations are wonderful. Well she is having a sketch challenge and the prize is some of those wonderful High Hope stamps, I just HAD to do a sketch for this challenge, these stamps are fantastic. Now I say they are fantastic cause she makes everything look wonderful and also easy, I am sure they would be a challenge for me, but a fun one I am sure.

The paper is paper I had in my massive stack, sorry I don't remember the manufacturer and the frog is from Sunday Int. I love this frog and fly series have a few of these stamps. I used my prisma pencils to color him in and the dew drops are from my local Michael's.

Thank you Ms. Beate for always coming up with such wonderful sketches. I have several graduations coming up in June and thought I would get a head start with my cards, when I saw this sketch knew it would be perfect. The stamp was kind of big for the card so I put it on an angle. I love this paper is it from CTMH and I do hoard this as I only have very little left. You can't see the black paper on the side but it has such great words on it, perfect for a graduation card. Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend

Today is my niece's birthday, I don't think she would want me to share her age, she is in her 40's you know, wow can't believe she is 43, OOPS, did I give it away, oh well that is OK, she doesn't read my blog so I am good, have not been disowned from the family.

This is one of the Bella images that Kim sent me, my that was so long ago and think it is perfect for her birthday. The sentiment is from Michael's acrylic $ stamps, love the $ stamps and the dew drops are also from Michael's floral department, papr DCWV. I used my prisma pencils to color her in.

This weeks challenge at Cute Card Thursday was "wings" and Daring Cardmakers was butterflies so I combined the two and pulled out a butterfly. I love this butterlfy from SU it in in the Garden Whimsey Set. Keeping with Harmony among stamping companies, I used my CTMH ink to ink him up. I cut him out and pop dotted him. The Cat's Pajamas - Sprinkle

The Cat's Pajamas contest this week is to use Sprinkle, big or little just let her rip. Well I have Sprinkle and love her, but I just don't use her enough and since I had this great paper out already, figured Sprinkle needed to be let out and inked up. I used my copic spica pens to give her a little green sparkle in the eyes and collar, unfortunatley no matter how many pictures I took I just could not get this to show. I used those wonderful Michael dew drops, don't tell Michaels that, they don't know what they have as yet and are selling these in the flower seciton by the BAG, cheap.

These cards are for this weeks sketch at Beate’s blog and Cardvarks' winged challenge. I love Beate's sketches, it really jump starts my creativity and I wanted to try a new challenge, this is the first time I am doing a cardvark challenge. I really only get to create on the weekends and as I have gotten a couple of orders for MORE cards from friends and family

I decided that when I was creating I would try to do a couple of cards at a time so I created two for this sketch These stamps are Kim Hughes collection at CHF and I used my prismacolor pencils to color them in and chalk for the sky. I seem to be into birds this month. Keep those sketches coming Beate.

Today is Terry's birthday, Terry is now.......................... years young, had to leave a lot of dots for her. Terry and I have been friends for over 30 years, yup we met in Daycare, NOT! Seriously we have been friends through thick and thin, and right now I am thick. LOL. I moved south and Terry stayed in New York so our friendship is made up of visits and lots of long distance phone calls. We are getting together in May for a week, her sister and a friend of theirs and I are going to meet in the land of "No Internet" for a week in May. Her sister Marie does not drive but does drive a mean golf cart so we will let her drive us home from the bars, NOT! Looking forward to my May vacation, we will have such fun.

I make Terry cards but she has a tough time using them. She tells me she takes a card out and then turns over in her head if the person is worthy of it, most times they come up short so she puts it away and purchases one from the store.

Scrapbook Sunday Finale

Well this is it, the last Scrapbook Sunday for awhile. I have scrapped all my niece's photos, at least all the ones she has sent me. I did a four page spread for Christmas 2007 and this is the other two pages of that spread. My nephew Frankie is into World Wrestling and this year Santa brought him a life side cutout of one the the wrestlers, sorry I guess I should know his name but am not into wrestling myself. This week's Cute Card Thursday is all about Transportation

Our challenge this week is 'Planes, trains and automobiles' but of course we wouldn't restrict you to just those vehicles, absolutely any mode of transport is allowed!

With summer just around the corner I thought that sailboat travel would be the way to go and knew the exact paper that I wanted to use, since I had the paper and the stamp out figured would make more than one card, I can always use cards.

I apologize can't remember the manufacturer of the paper, I bought it some time ago and can you believe am just now using it. Too much paper, too little time. The great stamp if from TAC. I kept the card pretty simple, I love to buy all sorts of wonderful embellishments and then don't use them, I have to work on that.

Well this has been such a great week I received some wonderful cards and some great goodies.

Jen of Pieces of Me sent me these wonderful cards and two fantastic TAC stamps. I love these stamps and their current catalog has some great stamp sets from cute and adorable, to elegant.

Can you see the Mahalo on this card, Jen did it with her cricut and the Design Studio software that joins the letters. Can you believe I have the software but have not even loaded it to my computer, no excuses, just busy with other things at the moment, but soon. Thank you Jen for your kindess and goodies.

I received this wonderful slider card from Sadie, of Sadie B Creations via Royal Mail, isn't that cool, Royal Mail, wow. I have not made a slider card but after seeing this beauty, it is definitely on my list. I also received some wonderful cuts from the Cricut Cartridge, I mentioned that I did not have this cartridge and how sweet is to send me some goodies.

This card I received from Heather of Stamping the Details, sorry to have taken so long to post, the paper on this card and how see did the flower and corners is fantastic, love the faux stitching, it looks so real.

Well Beate did it again another great sketch. These sketches make it so easy to create I just had to create two cards. My paper is of course from DCWV and the bird is from Inque Botique stamps, they are so great. The baubles are from Michales I colord them blue with my alcohol markers. I am trying to build up my card stash, usually once I get it built up someone comes along and "has to have" a dozen or so. That is OK, I love making them so it just gives me an excuse to make more. Well this week it is all about "people" at Cute Card Thursday.

Challenge 3

PeopleAs we had 'All Creatures Great and Small' as our challenge last week, we think it's only fair to have 'People' as the theme for this week. Any people image is fine, it could be Magnolias, Bellas, Nellies, Lolas or any others.

It is hard for me to stamp during the week so with this challenge I did not stamp, I used cardstock stickers that I had. I placed them on cardstock and cut around them to give dimension and then pop dotted them on top of some designer paper. DCWV paper of course. Hope everyone is having a wonderful week.

Allison's Going Buggy Suggestive Sunday

Well this week Allison's Suggestive Sunday is all about bugs, well I must say I cheated a little bit, I had created this cute little ATC using this wonderful CC designs bug so I pulled her out and created a card with her, had to give her ruby slippers(just saw Wicked last week) and sparkle. I colored her in using my copics.. Having ATC 's on hand are great, it gives you a wonderful creative start and seeing this card I now know that I will be adding ribbon to her. I recently joined into an ATC swap group, it was my first and was a little nervous, but it was great fun. Hope everyone is enjoying their week.

Well the play last night was fantastic, the Wicked Witch is so misunderstood and I think Glenda the good witch grew up in "the valley" at least she sounded like it, LOL. Great play. OK, one more Easter Card, I just love this cute Whipper Snapper bunny, he looks a little surprised to see an egg in the grass where he was just sitting.

I have been wanting to try one of My Paper World's sketches for the longest time and just have not gotten an opportunity to do so. Shame on Me. This card is sketch #6 and is for Charmaine's MIL. Charmaine it is in the mail to you today. Hope she is doing well and this card finds her in the "pink" Card is pretty self explanatory, I love this ruffled flower stamp and stamped it on pattern paper and gave a little glitz to the outside edges and added some dimensionals to pop it up.

Have a great Thursday, me I am heading to the theatre tonight to see Wicked, it is such a great play, you know the Wicked Witch was just misunderstood, if you've seen the play or read the book you know what I mean.

TAC Easter Card

Isn't this bunny just the cutest with her basket and big feet. This is part of the SOM set from The Angel Company, there are other cute stamps and sentiments that come in this set. I used my prisma pencils to color her in and of course the paper is from DCWV, what can I say, when the packs are on sale I buy them and have so much paper, have started making envelopes with the papers I know that I would not use for cards or scrapbook pages. The dew drops are a great find from Michael's still trying to find the pink ones, two Michael's I have been to are sold out, guess the word is out. Oh, going to See Wicked tomorrow night, can't wait have seen it once already, but I am a theatre junkie and as the ticket is free who am I to say no.

There is a wonderful new challenge blog out there called Cute Card Thursday I really did not get to do anything other than Easter the past weekend but had to try a card for this one tonight. The challenge this week was

"To celebrate the launch of our new challenge blog we would like you to use the theme of new beginnings or 1st's. This could be new baby, new home,new job, wedding or anything else 'new' or any other 1st you can think of."

Well not being too inventive I figured what else but a new baby, was going to do a baby card but then decided to go back a little further and do a "hey your belly is getting big" card. I have met so many wonderful in this past year of blogging yup, next month will be a year, will have to do something special for that Anniversary, so keep on your toes.

OK I have also been tagged, tagged several times in fact to name 6 things about myself. Know that I am not playing the game exactly as I am suppose to post the rules but think this game has gone around so many times that everyone knows the rules so here goes.

1. I have broken both my ankles, at different times but have managed this feat.

2. I am trying to sell my home in South Florida, after this past winter that everyone had up North sure you don't want to live in beautiful sunny South Florida, me I am moving to Central Florida

3. I have weak stomach muscles, yup, had to take several tests and they came at me with tubes from both ends. Results I have weak stomach muscles so that I get a bloated feeling when eating certain foods, you would think with that I would be super skinny.

4. I was once retired but went back to work, silly me, once I sell my home (another plug here) I will be retire again.

5. I am really trying to come up with new things as I have done this a few times before, OK, I got another one. When I was 4 I was in a store with my mother and had a small pebble, well having no pockets and not wanting to litter I put the pebble the only place I could think of, UP MY NOSE. After a visit to the hospital emergency room, the pebble was removed.

6. I completed my college degree at night, while working a full time job and graduated with a 3.98 average, OK now I am just bragging.

Ok, promise this will be the last Easter Card this week, I did not realize how many Easter Cards I had to make. This one came out so cute, kept it simple as it was for a small child and she is known to eat things she is not suppose to. I saw this idea about the opening egg on someone's blog but can't remember who, so pelase forgive me. It was really easy to do I stamped that cute little $ chickie and cut her out in an oval using my creative memories oval cutters then cut another oval a little bigger for the egg, did a jagged cut and used a brad to allow the egg to open, some coloring with my copics and was done. Well she received it yesterday and from what I understand loves it. Hope everyone is having a good week.

Allison's Suggestive Sunday this week was to use a Cat on a card, well having two of them that it pretty easy, but with Easter coming,thought I needed to decorte him up. Isn't this stamp from Cat's Pajamas just too cute. I cut out a circle in the center of the card and placed the image on the inside, I then cut another larger circle (using my creative memories circles) and punched out the inside with my mega scallop punch. I colored him in using my copics, love my copics, need more shades. This is for my niece and instead of the typical Easter Basket, she is way too old for that, turned 31 this year, I sent her a Spa Basket from Wine Country, they have such great baskets and their baskets are reasonable.

Coundown to Easter

I can't believe that Easter will be here in two weeks, it is sure early this year and from what I read it wont be this early again for another 200 plus years. These three cards I had made for my niece and sent off to her a couple of weeks ago, it will be interesting to see if I receive one for Easter as my Birthday card from her is usually one that I had made. I have been busy this weekend doing some more Easter Cards and Scrapbook pages. Take care and have a wonderful Monday.

Well I think by now everyone is tired of winter and ready to turn to thoughts of warm summer sun and cool waters. SO............................. this Sunday we have July in March. These are some July 4th photos of the kids playing in my niece's backyard and enjoying being kids in the summertime. Hope everyone is having a great weekend. My niece sent me some photos of last Halloween and Christmas so I will be busy working on these pages.

Red Ryder BB Gun - That is all I want for Easter

OK, OK, I know I have the wrong holiday and the wrong season, but this stamp just arrived and I could not wait. I had seen this on someone's blog, please forgive me for not giving credit but I do so much blog hopping and don't remember. Well anyway I had ordered it in February and it was on back order, it just arrived and I had to ink it up, it did not come in a box labled Fragile that is pronounced, fra jillie - it is Italian you know. LOL, if you are not a Christmas Story fantatic like me, just forgive the rambling. I used my spica pen to give some sparkle to the shade tassles. The yellow glow is less obvious IRL, for some reason it shows up really strong in the photo. Hope you like this card.

UPDATE - sorry I forgot to list the stamp company, it is Sideshow stamps, they are really nice people and great to order from.

Easter is Coming

Easter is early this year and I have made a bunch of Easter cards, even made one with my new stamp, it is not an Easter stamp but I could not help myself. I hope to get a picture of it this weekend and will post it. I made this cute card with my Whipper Snapper stamp, isn't this bunny just adorable. I colored him with my copics, the paper is from a Spring Stack of DCWV and the ribbon is from Michael's.

I asked the Witch Doctor - Beate's Sketch

I did this card for Beate’s sketch, changed it just a little, please forgive my creative license. This was such a fun sketch I made several different cards for my stash, it is getting low. I love this stamp, It is from sideshow stamps, I am on a craft budget for 2008 and am ONLY allowed one new stamp per month, but since these are unmounted I snuck in two, wait till you see the other, it is on back order but I can’t wait. Ok so I digress. When I saw this stamp the following song came to mind

OK for all you youngins out there it is OK if you now have a perplexed look on your face.

I used my prisma pencils to color him in and the paper is from a DCWV stack, you know now that I am looking at this card, think it needs something in the bottom corner, so looks like it will go to the card hospital before going out in the mail.

Daring Cardmakers Mother's Day Challenge

I know that those of you in the States are saying Mother's Day in March? In Britian it is Mother's Day and the challenge from Daring Cardmakers this week is

"As its coming up to Mothers day in the UK here’s a chance to make a card that celebrates women and girls . So I’d like to see a card with at least one feminine image on it . And that's it for rules really.Apart from this one.And it is sneaky. No Tildas, Sugar Nellies or Bellas please. I love them all. But there are loads of great challenges out there using them so for this challenge you can give them a well earned rest!"

I love this image and thought it would be perfect for this challenge. I used my spica pen to give a little sparkle to her emerald necklace.

Yup it is Halloween in March. This is Halloween 2006. My niece just sent me pictures from last Christmas and Halloween so I need to get busy to crop, print and scrap these new photos. Look at what Ms. Jen sent me, she is my Hawaiian Niece, she is such a sweet lady I have adopted her and her two BEAUTIFUL boys, so that her husband does not feel left out he is also adopted. LOL These images are so cute, she is a Demonstrator for TAC, they are such great stamps and I must say have bought a few, I love them.

Sari is expecting a baby boy shortly and I sent her some cute baby onsies and she sent me this wonderful Thank you card. I love these Magnolia stamps and finally found a place that will ship to the US, broke down and ordered a couple of Sugar Nellies. You should visit her website she is a multi lingual blogger me I have enough trouble with English.

I went home for lunch yesterday, yup I work that close, and look what was waiting for me, Ali sent me this beautiful card, she is so sweet and her card is lovely.

Baby time

It surely was a cold winter as there are lots of babies currently due on the horizon. I made a card for a baby shower and then a friend of mine decided I needed to make her one so while the paper was out I just crafted on.

I used the Michael's $ acrylic stamps on the card with the round sentiment and DCWV paper. The other card is my SU stamps and same paper, added some pink rick rack on the ribbon. I would be lost without my DCWV paper packs. I had just purchased two new baby packs from Joann's the other day they have some really great patterns and can be used for almost any occasion.

It is cold in South Florida

Beate's Sketch

Well it is the weekend and time for another one of Beate's sketches. I find designing the card layout the hardest part and to have it all done for me it great. This was a great sketch, thanks Beate, and I did two cards for it one as the sketch was and the other one turning the sketch on the side.

The first card is my cute Whipper Snapper Bunny and the "Hoppy" is from Inque Stamps. I had this bunny paper from a Spring DCWV paper pack.

The next card I turned the sketch sideways as I had wanted to use my CTMH Happy Easter stamp and this adorable bunny face is another Whipper Snapper stamp. I love the whimsical designs that Whipper Snapper has. I colored both images in with my copics, I am still fine tuning my blending skills but they are so great to work with.
